My Dodge 4x4 is making gear/teeth noise in the front axle or differential?

Question:
First I was told it was the vacuum "locker" for lack of a better name, and that did not fix it, then other mechs looked at the front diff, but all looks OK!?! fluids are good/new in diff and xfer case.

climb underneath and push up and down on driveshaft look for play in knuckle going into dif or gearbox,

What seems to be the problem: When u press on gas , u see white fumes with black driplets out of the exaust?

this can help tell you which is bad.+but sounds like bad syncro's in gearbox to me fix right away before cluster gear is damaged costing you big $$
