1994 explorer eddie bauer blower motor problems.?

Question:
For the past few months the heat went on and off by itself. Now there is nothing coming out of the vents, hot or cold air. Could this be a bad blower motor or something more diabolic? In the past hitting the dash made it work and now nothing. Does anyone have any tips??

It is your blower motor..inside the motor is the rotor..which has a dead spot in it and it cannot make a connection to spin. By hitting the dash..you made the rotor jump and then connecting in the spot next to the open spot on the rotor. You're gonna need to R and R the motor

radiator draining problem?

No easy way to check it. Could be as simple as a bad switch, and bad as tearing it all out to get to the motor. Get a 12V tester and pull the switch, Make sure u have power leaving the switch. then use the same tester to see if u have power at the motor. That should tell u everything u need to know

Could be the morot, but first I would check the switch that controls the motor speed, there are resistors that controls the speed, if any one of these burns out, you will loose the speed(s) that it regulates. One thing you can check, is even if all the resistors are gone, the fan should work on "max" this puts the full power of the battery to the blower motor. If that is not working it may be the switch itself, or the blower motor.

yep check the motor may be a bad connection like the switch.cause of the smashing of the dash stuff. if all else fails gotta pull it to find out. When you get it out stick some juice to it see if it works. Check your fuse first go to the easist stuff then go from there
