Question:
ok, 67 mustang coupe. just bought off of eBay. noticed puddle of motor oil on back of engine. it is almost directly behind the carb what is the problem!? is it serious, how much to fix or have it fixed
Answers:
So do I need a new switch and new cylinder?
If it's right under the carb, then I would think it could be the oil pan loose. If it's further back then I would think its the rear main seal. If you just bought this car, then I would guess, you are planning on restoring it, if you are restoring it then again I assume you will have the motor rebuilt. Good luck and congratulations on the 67'How can I get more speed out of my '05 5.4 ford f150?
I'm not sure how much it would cost to replace the rear main seal but it can get fairly expensive since either the engine or transmission usually has to be pulled all the way out. If you are planning on restoring it or doing a lot of engine work this shouldn't be too much of a problem. Shops just usually charge a lot to pull an engine.More Questions & Answers ...
