I have a 1992 cadillac seville it runs and drives great sometimes the transmission will slip when i take off?

It does not do it all the time it does it sometimes i could be driving and the stop at a light then when i press the gas it goes nowhere the its like it goes back into gear what is the problem and what can i do

i own a repair shop and you need to let it warm up,and then check the fluid in it to make sure its full,once it does reach operating temperature you can check the level of it and see ,if its full check and see if it has a burnt smell to it or a brownish color to it,this is a fist sign of trouble with a automatic transmission if it doesn't seem to be bad and has a good reddish color to it ,id take it to a transmission mechanic and let him check it out ,there might be something that they can do for it to improve it,good luck with it,i hope this help,s.
