Scuff or Rust?

Question:
When i first bought my green ipod nano i found that there was a small orange/greeny scuff mark on the back of it. I thought i had accidently scratched it. However a month later (today) i took it out of its leather case and discovered the mark had gotten bigger...? Could it be rust which has been painted over when making?
Do you think that the ipod could sweat in a leather case?

on exhaust gaskets, does the shiny metalic side go towards the block or towards the manifolds?

you should of taken it back to where you bought when you 1st noticed it. I say it's rust spreading underneath the paint.
