Answers:

my 1996 chevy lumina runs like it,s going to stall but it doesn,t and the engine light is on?

if your sure thats the problem' its not hard to replace.
its located at the rear of the trans and just bolts on' i think it takes either a 10mm or 8mm socket to remove the bolt and then just pop it out and install the new part, you may lose a little fluid but not much. if your not sure what sensor it is just look at the new part and get an idea. hope this helped'

1999 pontiac montana transmission problems?

I would not try it yourself, if you are not qualified. It is very difficult. If it is not done properly, you could make matters worse. My advice is to get it done proffesionally. The part can range from 100-200 dollars, and it is a job that takes up to 2 hrs to do. So dependending on the mechanics hourly rate. It should cost you about 300-400 dollars total.
