Did you do an engine swap? The dipstick is a calibrated device that is used to tell approx. if there is enough oil in the pan to sustain engine lubrication. If yours the factory engine and factory dipstick then the problem is NOT that is isnt long enough to reach the oil, but that there is not enough oil to reach the dipstick.
