I want to put a Cold Air Intake on my ride. I am worried about it sucking up water and hydrolocking.?

Question:
Would this be an issue? I live in AZ so we dont get much rain, but when we do its our monsoon season in August and it pours.

Nitrous for inline 4?

it should not be a problem but if you are worried about it then install a bypass valve ,they prevent water from being drawn in.

How can I remove an oil stain from my concrete driveway?

Its mainly the moisture over time. Yes the Cold air intake is pretty and will add maybe 3 HP actually. BUt you basically decreased the life of your vehicle due to the moisture damage over time. if u don't plan on having it a long time, then its great. If you want it to last forever, take that crap off

Engine stalling?

What kinda car are you putting it on? But in most applications you do not have to worry about getting any kind of water in your system. I put one on my 02 chevy and it came with a box that holds the cone filter and makes a tight seal. But i have seen on some imports the fillter is fully open. But if you look under you r hood after a good rain, If it were a possiblity you would have water on your block. If you are going to run a KN monsoon intake, The intake for the air is going to be so far down, i wouldnt think any water would travel past the fillter and in your intake.
