Don't listen to those who recommend rubbing compound. It will leave your paint dull (it will remove scratches). Use a milder polish since any polish will remove wax and is a great pre-wax treatment and will really add gloss to the paint. Try Meguiar's ColorX or S100 Shine Enhancing Cleanser (found at Harley Dvidson dealers).

Are you talking the whole set in wax coat that has already been applied and removed? If so then just use a soap and water mixture of dawn dish detergent and wipe down the car.Do the racing chips on EBay for 1 dollar actually work?
If you're talking missed/left over wax that was never removed after a waxing the car and is white and crusty, just get a micro-fiber cloth and some detailing spray (meguiers or mothers) and wipe it off. If that doesn't do it you'll need to use a clay bar
