I want the most air that I can get into the engine. I installed Edelbrock's high flow foam filter on the engine, and in time, I am going to stuff the filter housing with hospital dressing material.

Unless you seal the scoop to the air filter housing so that it can pressurize the intake it doesn't matter which way you put it on. Without this you are just cooling the engine compartment.Is it a good idea to put in high octane gas?
