How to close hood in lincoln continental?

well as you can see i cant seem to close the hood of what i call my "old" new car its a 93 continental signature series .

Use some WD-40 and spray the latch mechanism on the top of the radiator support,lift the hood about half way up and then just let it go.if it does not latch,re-open and check the latch for a problem.
