Question:
I own a 93 Toyota and recently the battery went dead. I recharged the battery and put it back in. When I turned the key all the lights came on. When I tried cranking the engine the car went completely dark.. I don't know where to start thinking about this problem.
Could it be a fuse? A short?

could be a lot of different things.. first and most importatn is that the battery may not be holding a charge. many older batteries just wont hold a charge.. u should get it checked at auto zone or some place like that.. could be a connection between the battery and the started. a fuse. a starter solenoid, starter may be bad. could be any number of relays too..Nissan Maxima 1989 nothing blowing out of vents.?
check your battery connections they need to be clean and tightIt's a bad battery. You can get enough of a charge out of a bad battery to run lights but you will not have the amps to allow the starter to crank the engine. I think the battery is totally shot, it probably has a dead cell or two and just took a little charge and when you went to start the car you used up that little charge immediately, get a new battery.More Questions & Answers ...
