If you are, then it can be really hard to get it into gear- you just have to try really hard, and next time hold the brake pedal down hard while you press down all the way on your parking brake, THEN put it into park. And when you get in the car, put it into drive, THEN release the parking brake. If that's not the problem then,How do I set the timing on a 1.9?
another idea- The transmission comes out of park when the brake is depressed; usually there's a switch that tells the transmission the brake has been pressed- that switch may be bad. call the dealer for that part to get the cost and a printout of where it is located- maybe you can do the job yourself.
