Question:
My dash lights go dim, bright, dim at idle. Its the 2.5 v6. Could this be the alternator or maybe the battery cable to alternator problem or maybe even the regulator. The check battery light on the dash dims and brightens also

Another question about the toyota corolla?
Looking at a photo of the alternator ( http://198.208.187.182/internet/partimag... ) it looks like the voltage regulator is on the back of the alternator. This is true for every late model Ford or Mazda I know of.Does anyone know what the best car warranty to buy from an independent company??
Test your alternator yourself by using any DC voltmeter to measure the car battery voltage with the engine running. If it is above 13 volts then the alternator is probably ok. Also check and see if it stays above 13 volts with the headlights on.
I always thought alternators either worked or they didn't, but last year I replaced an alternator on my Ford that gradually failed or intermittently stopped working over several weeks. The dash lights were dim and the battery was occasionally drained after sitting overnight.
I would like to know what it takes to dismantel a transmission from a 94 doge caravan?
pull the alt off and take to your local parts store and have it tested and have your battery tested as well it could either one.More Questions & Answers ...
