Another question about the toyota corolla?

Does anyone know what the best car warranty to buy from an independent company??

Test your alternator yourself by using any DC voltmeter to measure the car battery voltage with the engine running. If it is above 13 volts then the alternator is probably ok. Also check and see if it stays above 13 volts with the headlights on.

I always thought alternators either worked or they didn't, but last year I replaced an alternator on my Ford that gradually failed or intermittently stopped working over several weeks. The dash lights were dim and the battery was occasionally drained after sitting overnight.

pull the alt off and take to your local parts store and have it tested and have your battery tested as well it could either one.
