do not confuse the ignition switch with the ignition lock cylinder. 2 different parts, and often confused with each other. the part that the key slides into IS NOT the ignition switch.be sure what you are asking about b4 purchasing the wrong part.

could it be my ecu computer?

i hope it wasn't just that your steering wheel was locked, that would make the key not turn.that happens alot.you have to move the steering wheel a little, take the pressure off ,then turn your key on.

What is an anchor point and where is it located in my vehicle?

first buy a new one then you should be able to see the bolts or wire it like a race car toggle switch for the ignition and fuel pump etc. and a hidden push button for the starter a wiring diagram is available for color coding functions

Is it expensive to fix a serpentine belt?

unless you turn your key forward the ignition switch will not come out. try wiggling the steering wheel back & forth while turning your key it may release the pressure and allow the key to turn.
