1993 gmc suburban, the oil filter adapter is leaking and i am wondering how difficult it will be to change?

This is sealed with gaskets and o-rings, trying to make sure that tha tit will not take a brain surgeon to fix this problem, any helpful hints would be appreciated.

Seems to me if it is leaking in that area the "item or piece" that the oil filter spins onto may have been damaged.

There should be 2 bolts that hold that piece onto the engine block. Remove it and inspect for damage.

Don't lose those 2 bolts, they are the only ones of that type that will work for whatever reason.
