I am changing the transmission filter on my 1989 toyota van wagon, but there's a rod in the way.?

I am changing the transmission filter on my 1989 toyota van wagon, but there's a rod in the way of one the filter bolts. Is anyone out there familiar with this particular vehicle. If so, what do I need to do to get it out of my way or change the filter?

Use a screwdriver to carefully pry the tubes loose.
My trans has 2 of them in the way.

Move the tie rod out of the way. It's simple and wont affect any thing by getting it out of the way. It's easy to reinstall also.
