1988 Silverado question please?

Question:
Does anyone make a self contained aftermarket A/C system? The AC in this vehicle is pretty much done, not worth the time and $$$ to restore it (due to the old freon still inside).

What makes rectifier diodes in genset keeps burning is improper grounding the cause or other else please help.

they make upgrade kits to install the new style freon. but back to you question. jc Whitney use to sell what your looking for but they were expensive. good luck
