lift hood. use nose. sniff. check rubber fuel lines for dampness. check fuel injectors for smell. not something u want to wait on. take it in and get it fixed. one little spark and u will have car flambe. the reason u smell it when u shut it off is because u are not moving. while in motion, it gets blown out.
