*trans housing recently cracked (missing bolts). same one put back on w/ bolts and brackets.
*they say i need a new transmission

before anything......there is a hole in the area of flywheel housing
remove the rubber cap
and turn the flywheel (little by little) by hand
and see .If You have missing bolts ,that hold ,the clutch plate.
if teeth are missing from the flywheel where it engages the starter it could cause your flywheel to be out of balance and cause unwanted vibration. get a new car, this one might not be worth fixing,
