i,m told depending whether radiator is alloy or not determines what type of antifreeze i must use , being mid engine cant see rad easily ! anyone have more info on this ?

Best to ring up the dealer`s and ask them , the problem you have is that if you mix the wrong type then the antifreeze turn`s to a jelly like substance and will cause you major problem`s when it block`s up your water way`s inside your engine !Alternative is to flush out the full water system and replace it with antifreeze of your choice !
Check your specification page in your manual in your glove box. Generally speaking cars today that have aluminum radiators with plastic end tanks use a 150,000 antifreeze. If your antifreeze in your coolant recovery tank is an orange - red color it most likely what is called Dex Cool Antifreeze. Texaco, Prestone Zerex, and others make the same version. I'd find the antifreeze specification from your new car dealer if it isn't absolutely clear in your manual. In fact I'd call the parts dept. at the dealer. You will get the correct answer.
