i lubricated my chain with motor oil (bad idea!) and i got sand stuck in it... after that i lubricated it with Vaseline, but i can't get that annoying sand out of my chain, pls help!

Vaseline? That’s a new on one me who mentioned Vaseline? To clean it you need to take the chain off and spray it down with WD-40. Or if you can find the big canister of it, give it an oil bath. Set it in the WD-40 for about 1 minute and let it break up the Vaseline. Then pull it out a bit and start to run it through your hand while you’re holding a dry cloth, letting the chain run back in to the bath. Do this about 3 to 6 times and check the chain for sand. If there is no longer any sand, remove the chain and dry it off with a clean rag. Reinstall on your bike and you should be good to go. All that WD-40 will help lubricate that chain for a while. When you go to do the chain again just hit it with a little bit of WD again. Maybe some good penetrating oil. Be sure to wipe off the excess lube before going out. Other wise all the dirt in the world will stick to it.WD-40

Take it off and get a pot of water, boil the water and using TONGS place the chain in the boiling water, CAREFULLY move the chain around in the hot water a bit and take it out, be carefull, it will be at 212°. Run it under warm tap water for awhile and then dry in a junk towel. Spray thoroughly with WD-40 to drive the water out. that should do it. Boiling water melts the oil and releases the sand.How do i check an o2 sensor to see if it is bad or not?
ok first I hope you live at a place where you can get motor degreaser spry ... and wd-40 , and silica lubricant .first clean your chain with the degreaser ( or gasoline) ,use presurized air if possible too , this is the hardest part , it takes long time and several clean ups , then use wd-40 , clean again with the degreaser , then silica lubricant ... thats it ... you will have a nice sand free chain .

use the air hose to spray the chain free of sand

you may need to soak the chain in petrol or solvent to remove

next time you get sand in your chain
go to the petrol station first to blow out the excess sand with air then use oil based lubricant to treat the bare metal links
in fact, I'll suggest you have an old toothbrush at the ready to agitate sand that refuses to move
give yourself plenty of time with this.

There are many ways to do it. Using a solvent to clean out the gunk and sand would be the easiest. Boiling it out would be another.

Soak it in a pan of gasoline and use a brush and clean the chain. When clean, you can buy motorcycle chain lube to keep it lubricated.
