Name of part that holds on passenger side mirror for 2000 VW Jetta?

I would not buy the maintenance warranty.
Examine the contract carefully - it just covers standard maintenance services (oil & fluids, filters, perhaps brakes and clutch replacement.) Then compare that price to the cost of getting the Inspection I and II services done by the dealer and by an independent BMW repair shop and you will find its less expensive to have a shop do the work.

You can also do the oil and filter changes yourself - buy the Robert Bentley BMW factory service manual and see how to do those items, and save the money for other things.

1995 plymouth acclaim signals problem?

The bumper-to-bumper warranty is a different matter. That is an insurance policy that you are betting something expensive will fail and need repair, while the dealer is betting that it won't fail. Who do you think has better information about failures - you or BMW? The most expensive parts to fail are in the drive train (engine & transmission) and electronics. Forget about the bumpers and other stuff.
Check with your personal auto insurance company, or AAA or similar to see if they offer extended warranties for your car. I'm betting they cost a lot less than BMW's in-house B-B warranty.

I am speaking from experience: I have a 2000 323i, it has 95K miles on it and it drives very well.. I do all my own maintenance (bought the manual listed above), get discounted parts on from pelicanparts.com, and the only things that have failed are the sunroof slides (a poor design on BMW's part) and the intake camshaft position sensor failed (about $50 part that I replaced in 30 minutes.) All the remaining maintenance items I've done myself and saved hundreds of $$. You can too - BMW are very well-designed and built cars that will run for a long time if you take good care of them.
