Bad computer modual in 94 dodge caravan??

How can you tell exactly that you have a bad main computer modual.. ECC, in a vehical? Specifically a dodge caravan 3.3 engine??

take to shop and have an analysis done, $
replace with different module $$, and if problem is resolved,
then it was module,
but what are symptoms of van engine not working right,
if bad spark, choking and back firing, may be related,
if not, may be other, unknown,
