What would make the heat on my 01 montero sport blow hot in the front but cold out rear?

Question:
I have a 2001 montero sport and the front heater is blowing warm/hot air, but the rear is blowing cold air. No, I do not have the rear controls on AC is NOT on! I have checked the line going to the rear system it did not appear to be clogged up. Can anyone advise me of what might be wrong or what part.

It sounds like the vacuum actuator is stuck. Its only allowing the cold air from the vent to flow. But I cant answer the question fully do to the fact that I hate Mitsubishi and I haven't worked on many on the Monteros

First check the obvious. it there any controls in the back. I have had someone bring a van in with a similar problem and all it was was the back heater was set to cold. try checking fuses. if that doesn't work take it to the dealer ship they can diagnose it.
