Is there acut off switch?

Question:
is there a cut off switch on the 1998 mondeo zetec when the timing belt slips, my timing belt has slipped a couple of notchies and i have lost compression everything points to the valves ( so i am told) but there was no noise the car just died like it had run out of petrol and was running fine till then.

Answers:

my car heater does not work but the temp guage remains at normal, I am losing some water too.?

No switch. When the belt slipped the valves and pistons are put out of sychronization therefore you have no compression. Replace the belt, ensure the belt tensioner is not faulty or weak, and your problem should be solved.

how do you install a braek cylinder on a car?

The timing belt has to be on correct for the engine to run.
