Car question ...?

Question:
My car is fairly new and I had never had problems with it untill we had a flood in our town now the heater wont work and if I put the air conditioner on 1 or 2 the car starts to overheat and smoke comes out of the air vents and it smells sooo bad!!
I dont know what is wrong with it because I dont know about cars but a little icon on the dashboar has gone off .. it looks like an irregular box and its orange ~ ... What is happening?

My blinkers are getting slow...?

I know i should take it to the shop but what if they try to rip me off and it was something small so I would like to have an idea of whats going on .. please help... thanks

If you were in a flood where the water level got up on the doors, then the wiring got soaked obviously, and shorted multiple systems out. Anyone can tell you just to wait until it drys out, change fuses, and you'll be fine...BUT, they would be wrong...

Yes, you will have to take it to a shop, one you already trust hopefully. The car needs a complete systems inspection and diagnostic testing. Cross your fingers even then, since that isn't a guarantee that more won't happen later...

sounds like you have a heater core leaking. on mosts vehicles the dash must be removed to replace it. the light on your dash is probably the low coolant light. check your coolant and get it to a shop soon. you can by-pass the heater core if you can't afford to have it replaced, but you won't have heat either.

water is in all the parts if it runs it may burn up the engine first change the oil and flush second take a hair dryer and try to dry off all the wires you see then also put some gas dryer in the gasoline and top it off with fresh hope that helps
