Gotta get that nail out first if you're gonna stop the leak. You can buy repair kits pretty cheap, they'll come with instructions and everything, though it usually requires taking the tire off. Then the air is the easy part. Need either an air compressor or you'll have to go to a gas station to fill it.on my nissan micra i have a warning light saying ncv-t.anyone know what this means?
If you want to put air on a tire stand over it and blow on it, if you want to put air in the tire go to your local gas station and wait for someone to put air in theres watch them do it and copy, just dont overinflate the tire, good idea to pick up a air guage at auto store, tire max pressure is marked on sidewalll of tire. You can use a product green slime from auto store to temporaly fix leak but if you pull nail then you need to patch or plug.
Actually just go to local tire store and replace tire ask them for proper tire inflation advice.
I forgot the name of a book about cars?
If the nail is in the tread where the wheel touches the ground It is fixable. Don't put fix a flat in it .The guys at the shop won't touch it.You need to take the tire off and bring it in. They will plug it for a small amount. If the nail is in the side of the tire it is ruined. They won't fix it as it would be dangerous to you.If there is a small leak you could drive to a gas station repair garage if it's near by. I wouldn't suggest driving it on the express way. That could be dangerous.Best chance is take it off and bring it in. Theres a little nipple that sticks out from the side of the tire if you have a bycicle pump your going to be there all day and night trying to pump it up. If you have a way to get it to an actual pump at the gas station The hose line fits right over the nipple and you have to push it on there good to create a seal. You'll know when you got a sealed fit when you don't hear it hissing like it's leaking.Given it's a slow leak you should be able to take a side streets to a garage.wishing well 2U bye byeGo to a service station and ask the attendant, preferably the handsome one, to show you how to fill your tires to the proper inflation(psi) pounds per square inch. You also need to buy a tire gauge so the next time you can check and fill your tires solo.
