best bet is to take it to your favorite mechanic, and let him take a look. The speed senser may be bad, and telling the computer to slow the engine speed down to the point ware it is to much and stalls. My car keeps shutting off when it's under 30mph. What would cause this?
check fuel filterOK guys, giving u more info on my car problem?
Bogging down is a classic symptom of a clogged exhaust system. How hard is it to INSTALL EXSTENDED WHEEL STUDs in an Integra DC2?
i own a repair shop, and what would be the best thing to do right now would b to take it by any auto zone store and have them scan it to see if it has a bad sensor on it that's causing this to happen, its free, and the can tell you right away, this way you don't have to start buying parts for it ,playing the guessing game with modern cars can get expensive, good luck,i hope this help,s.Will turning a brake rotor actually remove warpage from it or is it best just to get new rotors?
Fuel filter? Not likely. A plugged fuel filter would allow the engine to idle, but not increase in engine speed under load. How do I start a car after sitting several months?
Plugged exhaust? Doubtful. More than likely if there was a restriction in the exhaust, it would have similar issues as plugged fuel filter. (lack of power)
rover 414 1994, how can i tell which part of the cable is not working?
I would guess that there is a vacuum leak in the intake system, or the EGR valve is stuck open allowing the exhaust gasses to enter the engine at idle.
Is there a difference between a throttle body and a idler control module with sensors?
Another option is an automatic transmision that is not releasing the clutches inside and killing the engine.
in the air intake line close to the air filter box is a sensor that detects airflow. If it gets dirty your computer will think the car is getting insufficient air flow, and will reduce fuel, causing a lean condition. Clean the sensor with brake or throttle body spray.
My 1995 Suburban heater is not working properly and the check gauges sign comes on?
Run two plastic bottles of Chevron fuel injector cleaner through your gas tank. It's the best product I've found in the past ten yrs. There is another possibility. All gasoline engines today have either a vacuum or electrical controller which works similar to the old ERG (exhaust recirculation valve). It precisely controls a measured amount of exhaust gasses to enter back into the intake system for emissions reasons. Occasionally the solenoid does not operate the valve properly or the valve becomes contaminated with exhaust gasses causing it to stick partially open during normal idle operation. Have this checked out. Please when operating any gasoline turbocharged engine use the very highest octane fuel you can find. Regular unleaded causes severe detonation in a hot turbocharged motor. The installed "spark knock sensor" tries to control detonation but in most cases can not sufficiently do it alone. The compressed air leaving the turbo may be cooled by an air to air inner cooler but the fact the air is compressed causes elevated intake heat. Water to air inter coolers are presently being developed to significantly drop intake heat.More Questions & Answers ...
