1988 Dr125 4-stroke?

Question:
I was at my friends house today and he has a 1988 dr125. So he took it out of the garage and tried to start in. But its really hard to start so we took it up the hill. But then we found out that something is wrong with the clutch. When you squeeze it the lever wont come back. I told him its prob just the cable but idk. I dont think he has ever checked the engine. Anyway we took it back to the garage and took a quick look at it. Didn't want to get dirty so we didn't take it apart. SO what would he have to do to get it running again? And it is electrical start but it just wont fire, you would have to get a running start for a little and then maybe. Also where can you find engine parts for it?

Answers:

Does anyone know if the Volvo s 80 turbo have a distributor? and if so what kind should i buy?

I was a motorcycle mechanic for 25 years and it sounds like it has a multitude of problems. The clutch cable could be stuck, the clutch plates could have corroded together, some of the earlier motorcycles had a battery ignition system so if the battery is no good the bike will not fire. I would not spend very much on the bike especially if you don't know how to work on it yourself. Taking it to a shop would be very expensive. Hope that helped a little ;-)
