Problem with SPEEDOMETER on my car, possible loose cable, how much to repair?

My car's km or milege has totally turned ZERO, rpm still shows up and so does gas....its possibly a cable problem with my speedometer...what is the average cost to repair? I got a domestic car...

Yes it's problably your speedo cable. It shouldn't cost to much to
repair. Although it might be a dealer only item, I say just have it replaced anyway. Labor should'nt cost you more than 100dlls because it only takes few minutes to replace.

check the wire connection at the trans. most repair shops can diagnose the problem for free. a loose wire is cheep to fix.
also check the fuses. rpm and and gas gauge are on different wires.
