Answers:
Do I need to bleed the brake lines when changning just the brake pads for disk brakes?
may be only loose from the transmission which is 5 minutes labor no part involve.( one smile from the mechanic and a come back soon)internally broken cable(remove-replace)7 hour labor(at least) plus parts.
internally damage dial indicator 7 labor(at least) plus part.
they have to remove and reinstall the dashboard for dial indicator and/or the cable.
If a cable broke or is disconnected the odometer would not turn to zero. You have a problem with the speedometer itself....an average remove, repair and install is about 100 to 150 dollars.
