Question:
im not sure what the easyest way to do this....iv been told that there are some bolts behind the discs but they are too hard to get to...? if u could help me with this problem i would be thankful
Answers:
first jack up the front of the car, both sides. then turn the steering wheel so that you can get access behind the bracket and rotor. next loosen the lower of the two bolts and lift the bracket up. then slide the peice that you lifted back towards the motor, you may have to jiggle it a bit. then once it is detached let it hang down but be sure to not kink your brake fluid hose. now that you've done that your brake disks should be exposed, pop them out and put your car back together.
turn the wheel the other way to reach behind the other wheel (of course) and repeat the process, in twenty minutes or less you should have completly changed the brakes.
on a 93 accord the rotors are what we call press on...u need to remove the axle to get to the 4 bolts that hold the bearing and rotor to the knuckle once u get them 4 bolts out go to a hardware store and buy 4 new bolts that are longer but the same thread...thread them in and hit them with a hammer this will release the hub/rotor and bearing from the knuckle then u can remove the 4 bolts and remove the rotor and replace , reassembly is reverse...but if u arent sure of what your doin take it to an expert!
