When I first got the jeep, the speakers would cut out when I opened the doors. Eventually, the door speakers stopped working altogether. Replaced front speaker wires, put in 4 new speakers, and replaced factory radio. Sound came back in the front, but once again, it's cutting out when I open the doors. The speakers also out cut out when I turn up the bass. Sometimes when I open or close my windows too far, the power to the radio goes out, then comes back. What the hell is going on?

All of the answers were right on the money, the loss of audio at high adjustment may also be due to a lack of ground to the head unit or amp(s) and/or a lack of voltage/amperage getting to these systems. also, a poor connection between the speakers and the amp/head unit

There is a harness in the door that often wears out from repeated use. When the door is open, look for the connection (bunch of wires in a rubber conduit) and see if any are rubbed bare.Not knowing what kind of radio you have I'll make a guess. The radio is by-amped or so called "floating ground" type system. That means you have a left+, a left-, a right+ and a right- and none of them dare go to any of each other or to ground. If when you re-wired the front speakers you did not install some sort of cable wrap over the speaker wires, in opening and closing the doors you now have cable chaffing and when a bare spot hits ground, the shut-down protect circuit kicks in un-till the short clears.
