Question:
The "check engine" light is on and AutoZone tells me that there is a vacuum leak, unspecified. Any ideas on what this could be?

When I turn my heat on in my car, nothing comes out the vents...It comes out the defroster?
make dealer fix it. all pollution control stuff has 10 year warranty per Federal law. yes could be loose gas capI need to know how to get heat into my boyfreinds 93 Grand AM?
Could be a loose hose or a break in a vacuum hose or a leak in the intake, assuming they did a proper diagnosis. With this new of a car it should still be under warranty, so have the dealer check. Check engine lights usually always come on when a computer code is set for an emissions problem.check all vacuum hoses and intake manifold lok for hissing sound
When you clean the inside of your car, what steps do you go through to make sure it comes out nice?
The hoses that go to emmission control solinoids at some point, dry out and crack.Look under the hood and check where the black hoses connect to a vacuum port or to a solinoid For a leak.Replace all leaking hoses. What was the engine code?Ask new question.Let me guess...it came on shortly after you filled up with gas?
More often than not this simply means your gas cap isn't on tight enough - turn it so that it clicks 2 or 3 times - if it doesn't click, just make sure it's on tight. After you drive around a bit the vacuum pressure should build again the light will go off.
Where do you put the blinker fluid in on a Dodge Neon?
Chances are you have a code error 0705 = EVAP system, and the comment that goes with that is "check for small leak."does synthetic motor oil such as royal purple, castrol syntec or mobil 1 motor oil really work?
There is no error code for "Vacuum leak, unspecified" that I'm aware of. New guy at AutoZone perhaps?
