Clutch is slipping - can I drive it?

Question:
My clutch is slipping, and I'm going to take it in to get fixed tomorrow. Problem is, my mechanic is an hour away from me, and I'll need to be able to drive it there to get it fixed. Just wondering if driving it this far is going to cause any significant damage to parts or anything...and also, how will I know if the clutch goes out? I'm really nervous about driving it because I'm gonna have to contend with a couple of hills, but the only way to get it taken care of is to drive it there.

Would it be really expensive to get an old car that runs, but needs to be restored?

Oh yeah, I've had the car with me at school for about 4 months now, but never taken it anywhere since the clutch is bad, so it hasn't been driven very much since I first realized it was the clutch. Thanks in advance.

How hard is it to remove creases in metal?

You run the risk of being stranded.
I'll explain. The clutch disc is squeezed between two plates, All except yours, yours is spinning while the plates are trying to hold it. you will develop excess heat and possibly a fire at worst. at best you will ruin the parts that are going to be replaced anyway except for the flywheel which will be expensive, your best bet is tow it. Since it is a standard borrow a truck and go get a dolly at a u-haul it's cheaper than a tow

if the clutch is slipping, its most likely just ready to be replace anyways, so its unlikely that youll damage anything else. itll just be a pain to drive, and it eats through the remainder of the clutch rather fast.

My cadliac will not start because of the srs how do i by pass it?

The damage is done. You can drive it for as long as it will go until the clutch slips so bad you won't be able to move. A proper clutch job requires changing all the components involved even if some are not worn beyond use.

Where to buy a Gasket Ring (BMW PN 64 508 390 601)?

i own a shop and you can continue to drive it ,but you are going to run the risk of getting out somewhere and being stranded and also its going to do more damage to the flywheel on it,and possibly add to the cost of repairing it,so i think that's a pretty big chance to take just to drive one, unless its a have to case,i wouldn't drive it no more,it will go all the way out, question is when and where will you be at in it when it does, good luck with it hope this helps.
