Can anyone tell me why my Dodge Stealth ES shut down while I was driving?
one problem with just pulling a fuse or taking the bulb outis what may be causing the small problem of this light can cause other sensors or other electrical or mechanical engine functions to either fail or just stop working and again that may cost you a lot more money in the long run,
I had this problem and I put up with it for 6 months and my truck started running junky, well when I had the garage test it, all I would have needed was an oxygen sensor, but by running the truck like I did, it killed my catalytic converter...more money for parts and more money for labor...
get it checked out
try going to your local car parts store and see if they have a unit that plugs into your on board computer outlet, and see what CODES come up, then they will sell you the part to put in, and re-set the codes and lights...
god luck

You should get your dealer to run diagnostics on it...that way you're sure there is nothing wrong with your engine. If you dont have insurance anymore and they are going to charge you the 80 bucks to do it you should still do it as it might cost you a lot more in the long run.Can a differential from a 1989 Blazer be installed in a 1993 Chevy 1/2 ton?
the first answer is correct if that doesn't work then remove the fuse but make sure it doesn't go to anything else. you could go to the extreme of pulling the instrument cluster and taking out the bulb i have done that before:)My 98' Expedition sputters( most of the time) when I push the gas.But not past Sixty mph?
See a mechanic. You might have a smog diagnostic failure. Some check engine lights can be reset at the primary fuse panel by shorting the prescribed fuse blocks--according to the manufacturer's design.More Questions & Answers ...
