Hi, i have some 15" eagle alloys on my car and im pretty sure there aluminum. Anyways, today i took my car to the car wash and washed my car, but i never detail it there i always take it back home and do that at home. but today after i got home i looked at the wheels and they were all spotted and blotched in this white crap that is all over them, I have no idea what happened. i did use the "wheel and tire cleaner" that they had there, it was this green crap and it seemed harmless. this has never happened before, and i always wash my car the same way every time. Now all four wheels look like s***, ive tried everything to fix it but it barely does anything, the thing that works best so far is wd-40 but they still look bad. My point is are the wheels f'd up for good or is it possible to fix them, i spent alot of money on them and im really worried. Thanks

Megular's (Pep Boys or Strauss) for wheels....sorry to say but if u tried other stuff more than likely its ruined... I had the same problem once with a chrome wheel cleaner, it got on my rear windshield on it stained the glass. I would take it back to the car wash and have them try to remove the stains......detail centers usually carry more powerful solutions that what they sell on the shelves. Mothers aluminum polish, available at auto parts stores.you put the wrong stuff on it,what you put on them is acid for cleaning engines is what you put on the wheels, you need to check with the car wash and see if they put the wrong cleaner in there. The wheels will have to be polished with aluminum polish.
Remember the aluminium react with the air and liquid.so you need
to make a surface on the aluminium to keep it good.
so it is lot of stof to bay to hold you re aluminium wheels nice.
