My car over heats while at stops. What could this be?

I lifted my truck and put it on 38" irocs and my mpg went down from 15 mpg to 9-10mpg on the highway. My brakes were upgreated because I was tired of changing them every 4-5 months. If I changed out my gears I could get my pog back up because it would get my engine and trans to operate at the ranges they were intended to. The tires last a long time when rotated. but it depends on the type of tires. My Iroks lasted me about 18-20 months but I have bought tires that lasted longer. And I when I had it sititng on 35s they only lasted 4 months but they were a very very soft rubber. I have 49 inch iroks on my offroad truck and the mpg is a little above stick but that is because of the gears in the 2 1/2 ton rears. Yea Rockwell! but I have never rolled my streat truck on the 38s but you do have to drive it different then a stock truck. my truck on 49's has been up on two wheels but nock on wood it has nevery flipped

1990 s-10 blazer fuel problem?

well it depends if the truck is diesel or gas on mpg alot of the time on diesels it will drop a little but gas engines it has a big effect on fule milage. A mud tire will last a long time if you keep them rotated offten but they wont last as long as an allterrian or street. I have 35in super swampers on a F-350 the tires are lasting a long time but I keep them rotated and the brakes need a upgrade with the big tires I have drilled and sloted rotors and bigger calipers and they pads last along time but before with stock stuff they would go fast every 4months

2002 ford taurus?

Tires should not wear any faster tires with larger lug or an off road pattern will wear quickly on paved surfaces the breaks depend on the tire size should not be effected by hight of truck your M.P.G. will go down because of more wind resistance

Have a 88 Chevy pickup?

well your fuel is going to go down you pay to play man i have 38 irocs as well as some of the other answerers and i love them i laso have a set of 49 inch boggers on a ford f150 with a 400 in it i dont even think i get gas milage lol roll over it all depends on your driving i aint never rolled a truck and i have been competeing for about 9 years now ever since high school if you make it your passion it wiont matter about the gass or the rolls but they do factor alot into building your toy some people will tell you about gearing bigger tires it is smarter to go bigger gears but you dont have to your engine if it is stock will have to work alot harder is all
