Hi, Does anyone have a good link to a Vacuum Diagram for a 1968 Ford 289 Engine?

if i were you,i would drop the oil pan and check all the bearings and make sure the caps are tight.if it sounds high then its probably a lifet isnt pumping up or a wrist pin.you can tell a wrist pin, because it will have a double knock.a knock, when the piston goes down and a knock, when its goingup.

If it is a steady, dull knock, it may be a wrist pin in one of the pistons...old Chevy 283's did it more often than Chevy wanted to admit.

While yours isn't a Chevy, it still has 6 wrist pins.
