if i were you,i would drop the oil pan and check all the bearings and make sure the caps are tight.if it sounds high then its probably a lifet isnt pumping up or a wrist pin.you can tell a wrist pin,because it will have a double knock.a knock,when the piston goes down and a knock,when its goingup.Is it safe to drive for two hours on a spare tire?
If it is a steady, dull knock, it may be a wrist pin in one of the pistons...old Chevy 283's did it more often than Chevy wanted to admit.Can anyone tell me how to reset the airbag warning light on a ford KA year 2000?
