Flat tire, tire shop's a block away. OK to drive there?

Question:
My car, parked at my home, is flat. It has been WAY too cold out for the last few weeks(-3 degrees)to change tire myself. There is a tire shop literally around the corner from our building. Is driving to the tire shop a risk worth taking? (Also, I tried fix-a-flat, but the liquid wouldn't even go into the tire, so that option is out). Thanks.

Any time you drive on a flat tire you risk ruining a rim, but since it's right around the corner, just go slow, like you have a choice there, and try to stick to smooth ground. Have you tried calling the tire shop since they are right there and ask them if perhaps you could pay a little extra to get someone to come over and fix it, or put on a spare so you can get to their facility? You never know.

How do you fix a 2004 Ford Explorer fuel problem?

No, driving on a flat tire may ruin the rim. Bundle up good against the cold, walk to the tire shop and tell them you have a flat tire a block away. I would bet you a dollar they will throw a jack and 4 way on the truck, go get it, bring it in and fix it, and give you a ride home when they put it back on the car for you.

Does anyone know a website that I can see a diagram of where a part is located on my car?

Do you know what this wire connector is ?

I've done that before. I came out of work one day and saw I had a flat tire. I drove it down the street with the flat. Was no problem. I wouldn't have been able to fix it myself.

ive got a rear axel and i dont know what it is i knows its a dana but i dont know what it is out of?

NO it is not a good idea. Go to the tire shop and tell them the story and they will most likely have a portable air tank you can borrow. If you drive, you are probably buying a new tire and possibly a rim.

1991 Chevy sprint. Squeaking sound... tranny problem?

You CAN drive there slowly. BUT EXPECT to BUY another tire when you get there which is a little bit higher than a repair. Why don't you call the tire store or a mobile repair shop to come and fix it, or a tow truck to take it there?
Ya won't die, but you will pay for the "convenience."

How can I read my engine diagnostic code on my car myself?? Is there a trick I can try?

No, don't drive on a flat tire.
You will destroy the integrity of the sidewall of the tire and it will then need to be replaced as opposed to just needing to be patched or plugged. You also run the risk of damage to the wheel, which is almost certain.
If the leak is a slow one, ask the garage to loan you an air tank and you can fill up the tire and then drive the vehicle over to the shop.
