Question:
I already asked this question in the Chevy category however I only got one answer. I am trying to research what type of 1949 Chevy model my grandfather owned. There is a 1949 Chevy Deluxe Styleline, Fleetline and Sedan, so which is which? Are there photos in which I can compare online? It is now in the garage and rusting away. What do you do to prevent it from further rusting? Will applying some commercial car wax do the work or make it worst? What brand do you recommend? Check the car photos at a website I created at http://www.freewebs.com/cdochevy...

Please help me out my car shakes when I'm stooped on red light?
I had one exactly like you have, I recently sold it.I had taken my drivers' license test in it back in 1969 when my father bought the car for me.I really have to say that it is a 1950 Chevrolet Deluxe Sedan, The 1949 had a 'fastback' the body sloped downward from the roof to the bumper.Kinda like the 'fastbacks' of the 60's and 70's vehicles.Although you may have an early production 1950 while it was being built in 1949.A really nice car for its' age and really great shape.Waxing the car 'after polishing the paint job' may help prevent the rusting. But keeping the car from any moisture will definitely help.Good luck with the car, it sure brings back some memories.More Questions & Answers ...
