Question:
I have replaced the fuel filter and fuel pump relay twice. It will turn over but just won't crank. It is an intermittant problem...sometime it won't crank...sometimes it will. Because it is so tempermental it is really hard to troubleshoot. It has always cranked if I give it a while. I thought maybe fuel pump...but it is just when I try to crank not when riding down the rode. I am at a lose for ideas. It causes such a headache. I will work fine for 2 months and then give me problem for days. I does it on hot days, cold days, and normal days. I have been trying to see if there is some kind of clue.....I am starting to think it is electrical:( Someone please help. Can I use a volt meter and check across the relay or something? Sometimes I will take the relay out and bump it and it will start. I think that is just a coincidence though. I have replaced relay twice...Please someone help. Anyone have any ideas?

i mechanic for a living and own a shop,,i know what you mean about it being a once in a while thing i have seen them do this,,the only thing i can tell you is to check the harness that goes to the fuel pump sometimes these get loose or dirty,and loose connection,,they wont do it all the time,,that what makes it hard to find,,its one of those things that you wish would just go out so you could fix it,,and be done with it,i get a lot of them,,you can try this,,that's all i know that will do like yours is doing,,good luck with it,,hope this help,s.what kind of oil goes in a dayton speedaire air compresser?
Does it make funny noises when it doesn't start? If it grinds, it's the starter. Even if it doesn't grind it might be the starter. It'll only be the electrical system if nothing comes on when yuo turn the key. You might also break down and take it to a shop. It doesn't really cost too much to get a diagnostic run. At least if you have a specific problem. It can be expensive to run a full diagnostic, but if you tell them a specific problem, it shouldn't be too bad.my furnace blower won't come on?
