Do you ever think that people call a vehicle a lemon when in fact;?
After the pan is off you need to remove the filter. Some filters are bolted to the valve body, and others are simply pushed into place. Take caution if it is pushed in because it can break if you just try to yank it out. Twist it and pry at the metal lip that mates the valve body. install the new filter in reverse of removal.
how do i remove 1995 modeo fuel pump desiel?
Clean the gasket surfaces of both the pan and the bottom of the transmission. Then place your new gasket on the pan(try to get a rubber one if possible). You should be able hold it in place by inserting the pan bolts through the pan and the gasket. Then raise the pan to the trans bottom. Start tightening the bolts just hand loose in a spiral pattern(begin the pattern in the center of the pan and move outward from opposing sides). Then tighten them to a snug tightness(it helps to pay attention to how tight the bolts were comming off). Most specifications say 15 foot pounds.
Location of resistor pack for blower motor on a 2000 Grand Prix?
check your book for how much fluid to add back to the trans to be full. Don't put it all in before checking, leave some room for error(also shift through all the gears with 5 seconds at each gear to help circulate the fluid before checking). After that you can consider having the trans flushed at a shop or being done from there. Some people choose to flush the system before changing the filter so the flush doesn't suck anything into a new filter, and some others speculate that flushing the system sends damaging particles into the transmission. There are no facts either way yet.
renault laguna RTD central locking problem?
Assuming it is an automatic. Firstly, drop the pan and change the filter, and secondly after the pan and filter are properly torqued. Undo a Transmission line, in or out doesn't matter, and hook up a transmission flush machine ($3000-$8000 for a good one that will actually work), if you do not have access to one, take it to a garage before any work is done and ask if they do transmission flushes with a flush machine that is placed inline and if chemicals are used to remove foreign particles, and have them do the filter at the same time, that way its not being contaminated with old fuild. The filter is always a good thing to change when doing a flush. A drain and fill is not an adiquite "flush" as to the amount of transmission fluid stored in the torque converter. in simple terms its like doing an oil change an only changing half of the oil, while the machine goes in while the car is running and drains the old fluid out into a discard container, and pumps in all new fluid from a resivor.if it is a standard, pull the transmission drain plug and drin fluid, replace plug and fill with approved by honda approved fluid.
ford mondeo 1.8 16v zetec will not idle when warmed up. any ieads?
I thought this year Honda had a drain plug on the tranny pan. The tranny pan is flat and on the driver's side. The engine oil pan and plug is on the passenger side. How do I apply antifreeze to my 2005 mustang?
If this is the case, drain the tranny fluid, and refill with the amount drained. Run it for a few weeks, then do it one more time. This will get enough new fluid in with the old.
