cant use my zapper to unlock my ford puma sometimes it will let me open it by the zapper but not unlock help?
Well if in fact there is an Olds engine in your car, then yes, it will have the BOP pattern. If you plan to replace it with a Chevy engine, you'll have to replace your trans as well. If you're lucky and have a trans with a uni-bolt pattern, you're in luck, but if you're going through all this trouble, might as well replace the trans anyhow. If its the original unit, its probably about ready to go, and its much easier to do this job once than have to replace the trans in 3 months.
What would cause engine oil to be thin and smell like gas.?
all of the above.
Can a tire rotation reveal the need for an alignment?
Ugg, the transistion years. That car could have the Chevy 307, the Olds 307, or the Chevy 305. Can you see the top of the tranny bellhousing where it bolts to engine? I'm assuming its a TH350 tranny. BOP has a "dip" there you could sit a drink in. Chevy trannys are rounded on top of bellhousing. A few TH-350s were universal, they'd accept either engine style. If its a 200 Metric tranny, its crap anyway. Chevy TH350s are super easy to find. And cheap to build.
Pontiac Gran Am overheats?
In 1980 they almost always used the universal bolt pattern. If not there is a trans adapter that will fix this
