i had a new tensioner pulley put on a few months ago and a idle pulley and new belt could this be draing the alternator i heard it us self adjusting so it can not be tightened it also has been squeaking for a while when i put soap on it is stops for a day and then the noise comes back

I have found many service station or chain store will perform a free charging system check.
