The keyless entry system on your 2000 Explorer is controlled by the RAP (remote anti-theft personality) module. This module is located behind the left/rear quarter trim panel. To access this, remove the storage compartment lid on the left rear side in the luggage compartment, where the spare tire jack handle is attached to. Look inside toward the FRONT of the vehicle you'll see this module with two electrical connectors connected to it. On this module will be a label with a part number similar to YL2T-15K602-XXX. There should also be FIVE large numbers on this label. Those five numbers are your keyless entry keypad code. You may need to mirror to get in there to see it. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Ford doesn't put the master number on the vehicle any more and haven't for years. It's on a card that's packed with the owner's manual and spare keyfob transmitters.

Any Ford dealer can look up the master number for your vehicle. You'll have to provide proof of ownership to get it.
