My Audi A6 2.5tdi has started to kick out lots of grey exhaust smoke.?

Question:
It was serviced 18 months ago, but i have only covered 4000 miles since then. The exhaust smoke has gradually become worse over the last couple of weeks, i have checked oil levels etc, all seems normal. Could an oil change or service solve the problem?

1977 Porche has 3,000 miles but hasn't run in 20 years. What am Iooking at to fix.?

This could be caused by several factors. Intake gasket leak, cracked head or block (cross your fingers). But if you are puffing white/grey smoke you have antifreeze/coolant getting into your combustion chambers and is burning with the fuel. Now you just have to find out where the leak is. See if your radiator level is low. Good luck!

93 Ford Explorer Engine Issue... Tachometer?

Have you tried draining the fuel filter first, just in case. The engine management temp sensor & the air mass sensor both give trouble & are easy DIY but try & get someone with an EOBD2 code reader first to see if there is any fault codes in the ECU first.

How do you change car fuses?

Your Audi should be seviced every year (regardless of milege) or at every 10,000 mile intervals.
Air mass meters are a realy commen fault on these but you usualy notice lack of power and bad starting with grey/blue smoke as well. A full diagnostics need to be run and the best place for that is you Audi garage. I have tried using after market scanners/ EOBD scanners but the best check for these is using the V.A.G equiment.

Avalon 2000 Engine Noise?

Hi

John Paul (nissan expert) i have a 1994 nissan p/u with a manual transmission. It won't shift into 1st gear.

If the smoke is light grey then it is either brake fluid or water you are burning, and this can be due to leaking servo seals, too cool an engine, head gasket failure.

How do i change the gearbox fluid on a 1996 honda accord?

If it is a darker grey then it is an over rich fuel mixture which has several causes.

Replaced the Radiator on my accord last week, and this week the water pump failed. Are they related?
