My 2001 Pontiac sunfire Hesitates when starting. Now, the check engine light is on. It runs fine while driving. Gas mileage is good. It is just starting. I don't think it's the starter, as there is no clicking or anything.

Best and cheapest place to start is Autozone, free computer code read-out and they can tell you what the cause is. Good Luck.Get the codes scanned and bring the numbers back here. Auto Zone can scan them but usually can't diagnose them. Don't mess with your fuel filter. NEVER replace ANY part till you hnow the problem. Don't depress the accelerator pedal, as is habit with most people, before stsrting engine. This could be a number of things so get it scanned.

Well it's a sunfire so it's going to die soon from something. I'd get the codes scanned. Autozone I guess would be good. Also check the Oil cap under the hood and check for creamy goo under the cap. If it's gooey then you need a new head gasket. (The usual for a sunfire)how much will it cost me to change a rim?
Trade it in and get something good.
