e-85 is cheaper, but burns faster. YOur MPG eventually equals out in the end. YOur car MUST be flex-fuel equipped, or else it will not work. FLex fuel engines have a sensor in the gas tank that senses the Ethanol content, thus telling the pcm how rich it has to run. When you use e-85,you engine has to use more of it to get the needed heat amount for combustion. Little known factabout e-85 is when you use it in your flex-fuel car, it adds roughly 30% to your total horsepower.
